New Blog Post: Welcome from the JWFNY President

The Jewish Women’s Foundation of New York is excited and proud to welcome you to our new website! We encourage you to use it as a resource to learn about the Foundation’s activities and events, latest news about projects and organizations we are funding, issues impacting women and girls in the Jewish community and to apply for grants online.

In addition to working diligently to complete our new website this summer, we have been preparing for a busy fall season. Our grants processes are well underway! We are currently reviewing the applications for small grants from organizations with budgets under $750,000, receiving concept letters from our domestic agencies, and finalizing our new process for funding in Israel. The Advocacy Committee has set their agenda for the year to work on behalf of children’s welfare and the Development Committee has established a new plan that will help us raise significant dollars this year.

Finally, I invite you to attend our first educational symposium of the New Year on Wednesday, October 27th on Global Women’s Issues and the Importance of Volunteerism with speakers Ruth W. Messinger, President, American Jewish World Service and Joy Sisisky, Executive Director, Jewish Women’s Foundation of New York. I anticipate a wonderful and informative program and encourage you to bring guests – men, women, daughters and sons to learn about this very important topic.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday season,

Mady Caslow, President
